Like its own language, the quality and characteristics of Txakoli vary greatly throughout the region. There are three main Designations of Origin Getaria, Bizkaia and Álava. Each of them produces a different type of Txakoli due to the microclimatic conditions, processes and aging of the grape

The excellence of Basque wine
Txakoli from Bizkaia tends to be a bit richer and higher in alcohol, around 12.5%. This makes the wines rounder and they are slightly more structure and minerality. Also in contrast to the early Txakoli, or the neighboring Txakoli from Getaria, this wine has no bubbles, making it an excellent companion for dinners and lunches.
During these years the D.O. Bizkaiko Txakolina has received numerous national and international awards for its high quality and high reputation. Our limited production and growing popularity means that our Txakoli is in high demand.
